Ukraine's foreign policy orientation according to the presidential addresses and public preferences

Diploma thesis "Ukraine's foreign policy orientation according to the presidential addresses and public preferences" deals with the stability of Ukraine's foreign policy priorities in the period from independence until the year 2007. Through an analysis of presidential addresses the thesis concerns with Ukraine's definition towards its main foreign political partners - the EU, NATO, Russian Federation and the Commonwealth of Independent States. The thesis follows changes of Ukraine's definition in context of domestic and international political development. Foreign political preferences of Ukrainian citizens in the period from the year 2000, or 2002 respectively, to 2007 are a matter of concern because of their significance for an assessment of relevance of foreign policy priorities set by the president.

Bachelor thesis The peacekeeping partnership between the UN and a regional organisation: case of cooperation between UN peacekeeping operation UNOMIG and CIS peacekeeping operation CISPKF Anna Fošumpaurová Abstract The thesis deals with the United Nations' peacekeeping operations. Particular focus is dedicated to cooperation between the UN and regional organisations and what potential benefits and limitations this cooperation offers to peacekeeping. The case study aims to describe the cooperation between in parallel deployed operations of the United Nations (UNOMIG) and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CISPKF) in Georgia, Abkhazia. The chronological span of the thesis is between the August 1993 and June 2009, when UN operation UNOMIG was active. The thesis firstly provides the theoretical framework of UN peacekeeping. This part lays out the legal basis for the deployment of peacekeeping operations, investigates different ways of understanding peacekeeping and its classifications, its basic principles as well as wider processes that influenced peacekeeping's nature after the end of the Cold War, including the increased participation of regional organisations. Eurasian Economic Union: Development, Problems and Perspective

Title: Eurasian Economic Union: Development, Problems and Perspectives. The topic of the thesis is the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) - a regional international law organization, established in 2015, which was granted with an international legal identity. The organization aim is not only to re-establish closer relations between the former Soviet Union states but also potentially to create a unified transnational cooperation in the Eurasian dimension. The EEU is very young organization, and still far from being a perfect one, that however deserves significant attention of the legal research. The aim of this research is to analyze the EEU system from the public international law perspective. Given the age of the EEU, the thesis is among the first in the Czech language environment dedicated to this organization. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first deals with the historical background that preceded the establishment of the EEU. The second part deals with the architecture of the EEU system, and is further divided into two subjects: the first deals with the analysis of the legal system of the EEU; the second focuses on the analysis of the functioning of the EEU bodies. Labour migration and remittances in the region of Commonwealth of Independent States

Diversity of economic development of the CIS countries is a major factor of labour migration within the region. The aim of my Bachelor thesis is to map the situation in the CIS region through the analysis of migration trends and remittance flows. At the same time it tries to answer the question whether migration is an appropriate tool for solving the demographic situation in the region. In connection with remittances, also it also identifies the impact of crisis on their development. The first chapter introduces the Commonwealth of Independent States, with an emphasis on socio-economic and demographic situation. The second chapter is focused on the impact of migration on the demographic situation and the third deals with impact of the crisis on development of remittances.

Commonwealth of Independent States at the beginning of 21st century

Commonwealth of Independent States is a regional organization consisting of states of former Soviet Union. Presently the importance of the region is growing, the reason is oil and mineral resources in certain member countries. Geopolitically and strategically it is a significant part of the world. The subject of my research is not only the Commonwealth as a whole, but it is also the research of the individual states, and especially its economies. I am comparing them with each other and trying to find their strengths and weaknesses. My bachelor thesis aim is to answer the question whether the CIS organization has the asset for its members and whether it helped them to start a new era of government with its own autonomy after the disintegration of the Soviet Union.

Popisuje vznik SNS, jeho hlavní ústavní orgány a hodnocení perspektivy tohoto společenství do budoucna. Práce je doplněna přílohou s tabulkami, grafy a obrázky.
